A tree was planted on the grounds of the community center in Butler on Saturday, Oct. 17, as part of an ongoing project of the Christiana Tillson Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Rep. Bourne joined them in planting the first of 13 trees in honor of the original 13 colonies.
Senate Bill 107, supported by Representative Avery Bourne (R-Raymond), was recently signed into law to give the disabled, and specifically disabled veterans, greater freedom and mobility.  The bill establishes that improvements to a residential property for the purpose of accessibility shall not increase the assessed valuation of the property due to the improvements.
Representative Avery Bourne will be holding an open house at her new Litchfield office at 301 N. Monroe from 9-4pm on Friday, October 9th. The Representative is inviting citizens from the district to drop by and meet her and her staff.  Coffee and donuts will be provided for morning guests.
